Perfect house in a delightful part of the region David H.Our two families had a wonderful stay at Mas de L'Aveugle. Some key notable features: - the house felt like a true home, not a 'holiday let' - the house is huge, and easily accommodated 9 people with ages ranging from 52 to 10; at no point did anyone feel that we were getting on top of each other - the pool is perfect - the area is extremely quiet and peaceful, with a noticeable absence of other tourists We would be extremely happy to return Absolutely stunning! Susan S.This is a wonderful place for a holiday getaway. The house is huge and beautiful. All the rooms are light and airy, well equipped, comfortable and clean. It feels as if you are on a retreat in a large villa. Everything is provided for your comfort and joy. Fully equipped and large kitchen; two patios to choose from for outdoor dining; grapes hanging from the patio roof to pick and eat at your hearts desire! There's also a large indoor dining table, two living rooms, bathrooms all over the place and a feeling of grandeur everywhere. It's tastefully decorated and comfortable. Outdoors there is a crystal clear swimming pool with absolute privacy for exercising or just lazing beside. There's also Ping Pong and a trampoline. Fun for all the family! I had a thoroughly enjoyable time and would revisit Le Mas again and again. Absolutely perfect holiday Alison R.This property is so beautiful, spacious, cool and incredibly well equipped. We wanted for nothing. The owners themselves were incredibly helpful with things we needed in order to make the house even more child friendly and with many suggestions for visits during our stay. It was immaculately clean and had enough room so that our 3 families, all with children never got under each other's feet. We enjoyed days by the pool and days visiting local towns. For children there was a water park, pony rides, kayaking and an adventure park all within approx 15 mins drive. The grounds were discreetly maintained during our stay and cleaning/ beauty treatments were available during the week. All I can say is that one week was not enough. We have already booked to go back for two weeks next year! Thank you for a wonderful stay. What a wonderful holiday ! Floss K.I just wanted to say a big thank you for making our stay so perfect. The house was totally gorgeous and had that personal quality touch that is often missing from rentals. Nothing was too much trouble and the house was wonderfully equipped. The amazing back drop and landscapes framed by the lavender and orchards. I'm pretty sure we will go back and have told all our friends. We loved the recommendations you gave us in the book for activities and restaurants, but equally loved hanging out at the house and relaxing by the pool. 5 star! All the best Floss Knight (Fulham)

Have just returned from 3 weeks at Le Grand Mas - what a wonderful holiday! The house is fabulous, all the rooms were lovely and our group of 11 was very comfortable. The kitchen was superbly equipped with plenty of fridge space (for the wine and beer mostly!) and the bathrooms are of a very high standard. The house is in a beautiful part of France with lots to see and do (the Saturday market at Uzes is a must and the Haras National stud horse show was quite an event too, not to mention the Tauros doing the rounds of the local town arenas.) Kayaking on the Gardon, the coast within easy striking distance, as are Avignon and Les Baux.....never a dull moment, but honestly the house and pool are so lovely that it was hard to muster the enthusiasm to go anywhere but to the pool loungers and bask in the hot sun being occadionally fanned by the Mistral. (Must also just recommend a visit to the village of Lussan, North of Uzes. It was a lovely drive from the house and although there is not much there apart from restaurants and a charming Poterie, it is the most stunningly beautiful village ever.) We have had many holidays in France over the years, and can say without doubt that this is by far the nicest house we have ever stayed in and the first that we would be tempted to re-visit in the future. Here's hoping. Perfect place to celebrate your birthday melissa powellalderton, wiltshireThese houses have been beautifully designed and decorated. The attention to detail is excellent. The countryside is lovely and completely rural. The highlight was the nightingales serenading us every night! Lots to do and the town of Uzes is lovely with a fabulous Saturday market - not to be missed! Highly recommend the kayaking through the beautiful gorges. Especially good for identifying the competitive in your group! It was the perfect location for my birthday and so special to arrive from our extended journey from Wiltshire when our flights were cancelled on the morning we left because of the volcano. The houses are so spacious that our large group of 18 did not feel cramped. Plenty of room for everyone to have their own space and then come together in the evening either in front of the fire or around the kitchen table.
A perfect family holiday.... GoofKentHaving spent a week at La Grande Mas in Spetember, I cannot recommend it highly enough. The owners bent over backwards to ensure that we had a good holiday and had gone to enormous trouble to toddler proof the house and even installed two stairgates just to make our lives a bit easier. It is a perfect destination for those with young children as there are plenty of rooms, a lovely large kitchen and a secure and heated pool. In summary, the house is beautiful, the weather was perfect and we had a lovely holiday. Perfect for an off season stay PipHungerford, United KingdomOur family have just got back from a one week stay at the Grand Mas. The house was immaculate, you feel that it is your home from the moment you arrive. It is a superb refurb of an old farmhouse with exposed stone walls, really neat stone bathrooms and a fabulous french fireplace which threw out amazing heat. The location is perfect if you want a really relaxed family holiday - you have to go out of your way to even see a car. Our 2 and 5 year old boys were out cycling on the lanes with us every day and loved the daily cycle ride to collect fresh baguettes and croissants (the 2 year old riding on the back for this journey!). There are many good restaurants within 30 minutes drive and loads of gorgeous hill top villages to explore. Even though it is the end of October none of us put on long sleeves and the adults were almost tempted to swim - the little ones of course had a whale of a time in the pool. The rest of the time was spent playing football on the lawn or table tennis on the terrace with the ocassional game of tennis up at the local courts. The house is incredibly flexible, with 5 double bedrooms and the separate apartment inside the house. We will come back next year with another family and either an au pair or the grandparents. Actually thinking of that we looked around the smaller house next door (same owners, same look and feel and with its own pool) and if we really wanted to have a big summer get together we could take the two houses together and let the in laws have their own space! There are so many options I recommend you speak to the owners directly - Darian is a delight to deal with and you can tell that she really wants you to have the best holiday possible, nothing is too much trouble for her. Many thank and we WILL be back. Fabulous House - Wonderful Location James P.We have visited the house in both summer and winter and it is truly sublime whatever the season. The house itself is beautiful, both inside and out, and so incredibly comfortable. The area around Mas de L'Aveugle is very pretty and we spent most of our time cycling through the vineyards from the house to the tennis court to the local bar etc etc. There are loads of good restaurants nearby (ask the owners, they have some great recommendations) and plenty to keep everyone entertained. We have stayed at the Mas twice and will certainly be back soon! Grand Mas Uzes GuildfordiansGuildford, Surrey,UKWe spent 2 weeks in August at the Grand Mas. The house is situated in a very peaceful hamlet surounded by vineyards. The house is in beautiful decorative order througout, clean and well equiped. Bathrooms all very nice. The house is very spacious and ideal for 2 or 3 families sharing. We stayed there with 5 children ranging from the ages of 3 up to 16 and they all had a lovely time. Most the time was spent around the pool area relaxing on the very comfortable sun loungers. The town of Uzes is close by and definately worth a visit, especially on market day, and there are lots of local restaurants, some of which are cycling distance away. I would definately return to this property.
